NEWF X AFRIFF 2023

THE PRODUCERS’ LAB PITCH @ AFRIFF 2023

This initiative is a collaboration between NEWF and the Africa International Film Festival

Have you ever thought of producing a nature, wildlife or conservation film? Are you passionate about environmental topics, wildlife or climate change?

The world consumes so much of Africa’s wildlife and natural history yet African nature & wildlife filmmakers are rarer than some of the species conservationists seek to protect!

The time is now to share the natural world, conservation, climate change, resilience and environmental stories of WEST AFRICA!

Applications are open to West African early career / emerging storytellers. The AFRIFF Edition will accept up to 3 fellows into the 2024 NEWF Producers’ Lab Fellowship Program.

Each selected Fellow will receive a ZAR 75 000 (approx. USD 4500)  grant to produce a 8-minute documentary short film exploring themes of nature, wildlife, environmental challenges or success stories, conservation and/or climate change & resilience.

The accepted Fellows will join an Africa wide community of storytellers, scientists and conservationists.

** NB! This Fellowship is ONLY open to West African Citizens

DEADLINE! 26TH OCTOBER AT MIDNIGHT (WAT)
